Hard to find model 12 Aladdin hanging lamp with the 616S scenic shade, original to the lamp. The model 12 was the last of the Aladdin center draft burner lamps. This one is the earlier model with "Chicago, Illinois" on the knob. In 1949 Aladdin moved its operation from Chicago to Nashville at which time the knob was changed to read Nashville, Tenn. So this lamp was produced before that time.

I believe only the hanging lamps were made in this bronze finish as the table lamps were always nickel. The finish on this lamp is great with the exception being the smoke bell which had its finished removed from use now having oxidized. The 616SS shade is no doubt original to the lamp and depicts farm houses on some panels and trees on the other. The paint is in excellent condition.

Of course the shade has a tiny flake but its location on the fitter end is such that it won't be seen once in place. One of the panels has has a light white-ish spot about 1/2 the size of a dime and most likely caused from heat. There are no cracks, hairlines or chips that will be seen. The burner is original to the lamp. The knob is not frozen and turns as it should.

The original cap is in place and also is not frozen. The font does have some dents, see pictures. NOTE that I cracked the base of the chimney after the pictures were taken. The original hanger bar which is often times missing, is included.
