RARE Pair ALADDIN LINCOLN DRAPE ALACITE TABLE KEROSENE OIL LAMP withPAINTED SHADES

We have here a wonderful pair of aladdin light pink alacite glass kerosene oil lamps made in the late 1940s with original matching hand painted lamp shades. Only one of the oil lamps is stamped on the bottom with the "a" but both are identical in color and design. They are not quite identical in size and they do not have the same type of oil lamp burner. The oil lamp with the "a" has a aladdin brass burner assembly with a wick burner knob stamped "23 aladdin" which is in good condition but has had some use over the years and has had a new wick installed recently.

The glass is in excellent condition and the base is about 3/8" shorter then the other lamp, the column is about 1/8" in diameter smaller, but the glass oil fonts are the same being about 6 1/4 each. The other lamp has a brass burner assembly which is a aladdin nu type b and the wick burner knob is stamped "mantle lamp co nu type model b aladdin patents pending made in usa chicago, ill". It is in good condition but also has had some years of use and also has had the wick replaced. The glass on this lamp is also in excellent condition.

The brass filler cap on this one has quite a bit of surface rust on it. Both lamps have identical lovely painted lamp shades which are in excellent condition except for rough bottom edges from sitting on the 3 arms of the shade frames which is quite understandable for the age of the lamps. One shade has a very small crack about 1/2 long that runs horizontally along the top edge of the scallop.

The shades are a cream color with a shade of pink and then hand painted lovely blue, yellow, white and brown flowers on stems of green leaves. These are painted on both the front and back. The shades are about 6/1/2" tall and about 9 3/4" in diameter.

Both lamps will come with a clear class aladdin lock-on chimney which measures about 12 1/2" and they stand about 25" tall with the chimney in place. I think it will be a very long time before you will find another pair of lamps like these so dont miss out on your chance to get them.
