VINTAGE ALADDIN BRASS HANGING KEROSENE LAMP WithSHERWOOD RED CASED GLASS SHADE
This offering is for a Vintage. Aladdin Brass Kerosene/Oil Hanging Lamp with Sherwood Red Cased Glass Shade.
This beautiful Aladdin Hanging Lamp with Chimney, Shade, Burner, and Frame & Chain with Smoke Bell is in its original working order (not electrified). It features a solid brass kerosene oil burner/tank that is marked Aladdin 23, Aladdin Manufactured Under US Patent #3551086. The complete Hanging Frame & Smoke Bell is brass colored/plated metal. The beautiful Ridged Red Cased Glass Shade has a white underside and has its original label that reads Sherwood Shade, Made in England for Sherwood International.
The Lamp in its entirety measures 24" Tall by 14" Wide,,,,, the shade measures 6" high by 10" wide, the chain measures 19 from the top of the frame to the top of chain. All of the lamp components are in excellent condition (the rim of the brass shade rest/fitter ring, that fits on the burner, has a slight bend to it that could be straightened- did not attempt to because when the shade sits on it, the bend is not noticeable).
The lamp could use additional polishing, but we preferred it showing light age wear (see photos). It will be your decision w. Hether to use it as is, with the warm glow of kerosene light (especially nice for those unfortunate times when the electric is out) or to electrify.
