Aladdin 1941 CRYSTAL Washington Drape Kerosene Lamp with Cased PUFFY ROSE Shade

This is an old original oil lamp made by the Aladdin Lamp Company, it comes complete, ready to fill with kerosene and use! It is a Washington Drape model #B53 made in 1941 in CLEAR CRYSTAL glass.

It has a V-foot base with an incised A, see picture. The center bottom of the font has a 1/2 tall glass tit, I have never seen this before, very unique and interesting why it is there and what purpose does it have. I have read allot of lamp books and have never heard of this. I tried to get a picture of it, but it is clear glass, looks to be manufactured that way!

I found it while cleaning the lamp. It comes with a Fenton PUFFY ROSE Cased Glass Shade made by LG Wright. This is called a marriage between two lamps. It comes with a NU-TYPE Model B Aladdin burner, a Flame Spreader, an ALADDIN Brand Lox-On Chimney, a Satan White cased Glass with Dark Pink Glass on the inside, and a Brass Shade Holder that fits under the burner.

This is a WORKING Kerosene LAMP, it comes with an old cotton wick. The burner unscrews easily and so does the filler cap.

This lamp is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or fleabites. I did find 2 flat chips on the inside of the shade on the very bottom when taking pictures. I took pictures of all four sides so you could get a good look at it. I put a light on a cord down the chimney to show how it will look when the burner is lit up, also what it will look like if you decide to get an Aladdin Electric Burner to use.

The total height of this wonderful lamp is approx=24 tall. The lamp is= 9 tall to the base of the burner. The Glass Shade is= 6½" tall with a 10" wide bottom fitter. The Chimney is=12½" tall with a 2-5/8" wide bottom fitter.
