I've tried to learn about this lamp on the internet. I believe this is an original lamp from the 1920s - 1940s, based on the threads being recessed in the body (see photos). It has however been redone as an electric lamp with a 3 position switch. If you don't like it this way I think you can get other reproduction parts and put it back to how it was originally. Personally, I like the 3 way lamp!

I was impressed with it! Sorry if you're a purist... The lamp also has the bracket for a shade (no shade included) and the chimney (chimney has a chip on top).

It's about 23 1/2 tall. Being hypercritcal around the body of the lamp you can see and feel the mold seams/lines. There are also some small "swirls" or "lines" where the alacite color is a smidge different in some areas probably due to thickness differences, or maybe the glass wasn't mixed perfectly? There are also some very light "straw marks" or slight imperfections (about 3). The upper ring that the electric light mechanism screws into shows age, but works fine (see photos).

There's a little dirt inside that I couldn't get out (see photos). On the lower part, outside there's one spot with roughness where it may have a tiny chip/flake.

I can feel it just a little. If you turn the lamp over and are assessing the underside that no one will probaby care about the little raised "feet" are all smooth. See photos with little blue post-it that point out some imperfections. Inner rings aren't perfectly straight, there are a few tiny chips or rough spots. Like many factories producing utilitarian items, the "quality control" wasn't perfect and I doubt people were that concerned with a tiny straw mark or slight glass streak of off-color.

Lamp is AS IS, AS MADE. Chimney has a chip on the rim, but also has the ALADDIN NAME. Having to pack a fragile little item with a big heavy one takes a lot more room. I know a lot of folks like the fact that some alacite flouresces and they call it "uranium glass".

I'm not sure what glass is made of, but this one does flouresce.
