1930's Aladdin lamp just needs a Mantle - Use only Kerosene in these lamps new filler cap {cats not Included}. This Alladin lamp in it's current form is referred to as an Argand Lamp With a Chimney with a length of at least 12 inches to provide it's powerful draft to provide efficient burning. The Central draft is provided by an open draft ending at a Flame Spreader that provides oxygen directly to the circular wick creating a Circular flame thus generating maximum light and heat and a minimum of carbon Monoxide. The installation of the Mantle will provide a 100% efficient White Light flame and Zero carbon monoxide. The Mantle is a mesh of Thorium infused cotton fabric which burns away the cotton in it's first use leaving a fragile lattice which incidences providing an intense white light on exposure to the heat of the burning circular wick.

The Aladdin lamp will also produce about 2,500 BTU and 60 Candlepower per hour. Paraffin in the UK is kerosene.

Paraffin Oil in the UNITED STATES is Liquid Candle Wax , and is mis-labeled for use in oil lamps and lanterns, when in fact it is only suited for Candle Oil Lamps that use small diameter (under 1/4,) round wick. 99% or 100% Paraffin Oil.
