Aladdin Model 12 Brass Plated Oil Lamp Light Green Glass Shade GWTW. Vintage oil lamp with a decorative glass shade with a soft green tint and hand-painted floral designs. The shade has a ruffled top edge and sits above a clear glass chimney. The base is brass plated and may have darkened patina from age. This style of lamp was common in parlors and dining rooms before widespread electric lighting. It has a knob for adjusting the height of the wick and controlling the flame. The glass chimney helps protected the flame from drafts and improves airflow for steady burning. The Aladdin Model 12 Lamps were made from 1928 - 1935.

These were often called "Gone with the Wind" lamps or Victorian parlor lamps. The floral motif and frosted glass shade were popular decorative elements of that period. The last picture shows the type of mantle it takes (not included).

The chimney has Aladdin etched on the top as shown in the pictures. It measures 23" x 11" with a 12 1/4 chimney. It weighs 6 pounds prior to boxing. I found no damage on the chimney or shade. Almost every item I sell is used and may have some wear from age.
