ALADDIN WASHINGTON DRAPE Clear Glass Oil Kerosene Lamp Model B53 No Filler Hole. This listing is for a clear Aladdin Model B-53 Washington Drape oil lamp. This model was produced from 1941 to 1955 but was not marketed to the United States after 1950.
A small number were made without filler caps and this is one of those. It came in clear, green, and amber glass. The base is 12 sided. The top of the base has the crows foot or turkey tracks pattern.
It has an Aladdin Model B Nu-Type burner with a Lox-On mantle. It uses an Aladdin Lox-On chimney (not included). The Washington Drape bowl tops the smooth stem.
The lamp measures about 15.5 inches to the top of the mantle holder, about 8.75 inches to the top of the glass, the bowl about 6.375 inches in diameter and the base about 6 inches in diameter. The overall condition is used.
The burner and knob have a nice patina but the wick is stuck in place and will not raise or lower. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are some bubbles and straw marks in the glass.
