ALADDIN WASHINGTON DRAPE Green Glass Oil Kerosene Lamp Model B40 Round Base 1939. This listing is for a green Aladdin Model B-40 Washington Drape oil lamp.

This model was the first in a series of table lamps in this pattern. It is the only one with a round base. It came in clear, green, and amber glass. It has an Aladdin Nu-Type burner with a Lox-On mantle. It uses an Aladdin Lox-On chimney (not included).

It stands on 6 short feet and has 3 ribs around the base. There is a swirl pattern around the base. The Washington Drape bowl tops the tapered stem. The lamp measures about 14.5 in.

To the top of the mantle holder, about 8.125 in. To the top of the glass and has a round base about 6.375 in. The overall condition is used.

The burner has a nice patina but the knob has a small dent and will not raise the wick. I think it is that the wick is stuck in place. The cap also shows some rust. The glass is in excellent condition down to the base. There are some scrapes on one side of the base as shown in the 7th image.

There are some bubbles and straw marks in the glass, image 7 makes them show much worse than they are. Please check the pictures carefully for condition and identification. They are of the actual item. I would be happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures.

Aladdin Produced and offered this lamp for an estimated 9 months during the 1939 year, this was a full 2 years before they produced them with the typical plain stem which were in production from 1941 - 1950 in the US. Aladdin also produced a ball stem variant in 1941.
