8 Oil lamp, Style No. The design of the bowl and satin white shade effectively coordinate in a pleasing manner. Aladdin claimed it was designed to give off a mild, soft light which would allow older people with diminishing eyesight to see better as the reflected light below the shade was suitable for reading and other work. The brass was professionally polished many years ago and still displays beautifully.
