Antique RARE Kerosene/Oil Lamp Nickel Plated Pat. Jun 1878 w/Aladdin Style Shade - Ornate Yacht Club Trophy w/Shade. Gorgeous, Ornate, Custom Antique Oil Lamp w/ Lovely Hand Painted Floral Aladdin Style Lamp Shade and chimney, stands 20 H. This is RARE - ONE OF A KIND!

This Oil Lamp Trophy was made for the "Hudson River Ice Yacht Club - Gildersleeve Prize - 3rd Class". It was Won by L. Edwards - Yacht - Arrow - March 16, 1887. This was a sailing yacht race on top of the ice of the Nee York Hudson River. The Oil Lamp Nickel Plated Finished base is ornately designed with flowers on the upper and lower sections.

A diamond quilted pattern in the midsection with a Footed Base, and leaf and wood handles. Measures approximately 7 1/2" H x 11 " W handle to handle x 7" D around; and footed base is 8 1/2" L/W. The Oil Font insert is 7 1/2" H x 5" D x 9 D.

Flame Spreader/Burner is Patent June 78 (1878). The wick adjuster has a four leaf design. The cap to the oil basin is tight, I was unable to open. There is a dent on the bottom of the oil font basin, but does not appear to have any cracks or holes. Light Yellow and White, nice design with lovely hand painted red flowers.

Measures approximately 7" H x 10 1/4" D fitter. Chimney measures approximately 10 1/4" H with a 2 5/8" Fitter.

There is a small chip in shade, some flea bites around fitter, a couple of marks, some patina and dulling to finish due to age, other age see pictures. This is truly one of my unique treasures with a little history! Please see pictures, let me know if you would like to see any more.
