Stunning Antique Electrified Oil Lamp. This lovely, eye-catching antique Aladdin oil lamp was converted to electric at some point in its history, and is working well.
Aladdin produced these Venetian Art Glass oil lamps for a short period in the 1920s and 1930s. Model 1230, 1231 or 1240 with the Model 12 burner and Aladdin Lox-on chimney. This is the larger size, with the glass being 12 inches tall. The font and burner could easily be replaced to use it as an oil lamp again if desired - just slide the replacement in the glass vase. The brass has a lovely patina, and a 4 inch shade holder is soldered to the burner so that you can easily add a beautiful shade if desired. The glass Aladdin chimney has no chips or cracks, just a little mark here or there. The glass vase has no cracks in the glass or gouges in the iridescent painted / fired finish - just some tiny flea bites around the top edge where it was cut for the font originally (see closeup). The colors in the finish are red / burgundy, black, green, yellow and gold. Use 1 standard-base light bulb up to 60 watts, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. The flicker-flame bulb shown IS INCLUDED, as are the mantle-style bulb and the standard bulb to get you started.
Total height: 27 3/4 including the glass chimney. Height of just the glass vase: 12 1/4. Height from base to the chimney holder: 15 1/2. Width of vase at widest: 7. Width of base: 6 3/4.
