The number that has survived the past 77+ years is anyone's guess, but it is definitely much less than 1000. This lamp comes with the burner, gallery, wick tube, wick raiser, and tripod as shown. It also has the filler cap. It is uncertain if these are all original parts to the lamp, but they are believed to be quite old as evidenced by the dust in the bottom of the burner. Also, the wick tries to go up and down, but just won't go.
To make it operational, the wick could easily be cut out and a new one installed, but we will leave this up to the new owner if so desired. The replacement glass chimney is also included. The satin glass drapery shade, believed to be the Aladdin Drape shade, is a part of this listing since it seems to complement the lamp. As for condition, the lamp is in excellent condition and extremely clean, inside and out. The only issues we have noted are very minor. One of the extended feet on the bottom does have a chip. Also, there is a small chip on the inside edge of the base. While there is no chip on the outside edge of the base, there does appear to be one very small chip that is possibly forming. There is a zigzag line on the bottom but it is not a crack.
After looking at it with a loupe, it is a mold mark with dirt in the crevice. Under the filler cap bushing, there also appears to be a chip that has not chipped out yet. We only point these out to offer a complete understanding of the condition. None of the defects noted are very noticeable and nearly all are hidden from view when displayed. We have also inspected the lamp with a black light and found no other defects or repairs.
The burner, as stated above, does have an old wick that appears to be gummed up and will not go up and down. You can see the gears trying to move, so we believe it would be operation once the old wick is removed. There is some rust at the top of the gallery. Also, there is a very tiny dent in the flame spreader. The lamp base measures 9" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter.
The three line chimney is 12 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" in diameter at the base. The shade is 9 3/4" in diameter at the base and just over 7" tall. Many more pictures are added below. Be sure to check out my other listings. I have a wide variety of vintage and antique items.
The lamp will be double boxed. The shade will be mailed in a separate box to better protect the lamp.
