Late 1800s or early 1900s. Today I present to you this Antique. Plumes & Atwood (P&A) Mfg Company Kerosene Oil Clear Pattern Glass Lamp Eagle Burner, 1880s-1900s. This antique P&A kerosene glass. Lamp is fully functional with its Eagle burner, wick.
The antique lamp is 12 3/4 inches. The kerosene lamp is 5 1/2 inches tall. This is from the bottom of base to the top of burner. The base is 4 inches in diameter. As I mentioned earlier the antique kerosene oil lamp is in great condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. Also, there is no foreign residue like yellow or green stains in the lamp. The lamp is completely clean and is ready for immediate use. Also, there are no visible signs of wear except on the Eagle burner's brass plating. The circa of this antique kerosene lamp is 1800s-1900s. P&A Manufacturing Company was organized in 1869. They expanded their business rapidly by purchasing a similar company, named Hayden & Griggs Manufacturing Company in Waterbury Connecticut. Also made all brass parts for Aladdin Lamp Company through 1963. In 1955 P&A moved its manufacturing division from Waterbury to Thomaston Connecticut. Risdon Mfg Co of Danbury CT took over the Waterbury Plant during this period.
