What a lovely matched pair of vintage ALADDIN Alacite/ uranium boudoir lamps! They are a column form that could be described as Neo Classic. Since they are uranium glass, they date before 1942 when uranium stopped being used.
The base is square & footed with a tiny row decoration. The column flares slightly at the top and finishes with a stylized Greek Ionic capital detail. The lamps have been rewired and one socket appears to have been replaced. Both have a toggle on/off switch. They use a clip on type shade. They are marked on the bottom. Feet in excellent condition-felt used at some time- some felt spots remain. These are clean and in perfect condition except for a tiny corner chip at the bottom of the base of one lamp - see last pic. These lamps are part of the estate my 100 year old relative and have been in the household for many, many years. Lamp to base of socket- 8.5 H. Base- 3" SQ x 1.25" H. SEE PICS- the pics are of both lamps. Listing many items from this estate- please watch.
